Press On FAQs

How do I measure my nails?

1. Measure your nails at the widest part with a tape measure.

2. Write down your measurement in centimetres and do this for all 10 nails.

3. Converting centimetres to millimetres can be done by multiplying the length by 10.
4. Match your measurements to these sizes: 0-16mm, 1-15mm, 2-14mm, 3-13mm, 4-12mm, 5-11mm, 6-10mm, 7-9mm, 8-8mm, 9-7mm

How do I prep my nails?

1. Prepare your natural nails by removing any product you may have on.

2. Using a wooden cuticle pusher, gently push the cuticle down and away, this will help the press on have better adhesion.

3.Gently file the shine off of your natural nail and trim any excess length. **Please be careful not to over-file your natural nails. ONLY a light file is needed to apply the press ons.**

4. Cleanse your natural nail using alcohol or non acetone nail polish remover.

Your nails are now ready for application!

How do I apply my press ons?

IMPORTANT: Make sure your nails have not been in contact with water for a minimum of 30 minutes prior.
Start with the pinky of your non dominant hand and work your way down.
ADHESIVE TABS:

Size and apply the tab to the press on nail, line the tip up with your natural nail and press down firmly. (Usually lasts 1-2 days. Perfect for a fun weekend or to prevent ruining your more expensive sets!)

GLUE ADHESIVE:

Apply 1-2 drops of nail glue to the inside of the press on after gently etching the inside of the nail and line the cuticle end up with your natural nail. Push firmly down above where the press on nail meets your natural nail. Apply firm pressure for approx. 10 seconds per nail. (Generally last between 2-3 weeks.)

Wear Tips

Press on nails DO NOT like HOT water. do your best to avoid long baths, hot tubs, saunas, etc.

ADHESIVE TAB REMOVAL:

These are super easy to remove! Soak your nails in hot water and baby oil and they will pop right off.

GLUE REMOVAL:

Soak in hot water, with a dash of baby oil (not essential), they will eventually pop off. Excess glue can be be gently filed off with a nail file. Alternatively you can use acetone based nail polish remover.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE POLISH REMOVER WILL EAT THROUGH THE NAILS AND RUIN THEM. ***THIS REMOVAL METHOD IS NOT ADVISED IF YOU PLAN ON REUSING YOUR TIPS IN THE FUTURE.***

Nails can be reapplied if glue tabs were used, by simply applying your preferred adhesion method. If nail glue was used, just file the excess glue remaining on the nail tips and reapply.
